About The Position

Full Spectrum Search Group is a full-service healthcare recruiting agency specializing in post-acute leadership and healthcare administration. We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) for a skilled nursing facility in the Williamsburg, Virginia market. This is an opportunity to join a well-performing skilled nursing facility with a supportive Administrator and a strong clinical leadership team already in place. The organization is seeking a seasoned nursing leader who can unify the team, strengthen culture, and continue building upon the facility's quality outcomes. Position Summary The Director of Nursing will oversee all clinical operations within a 132-bed skilled nursing facility with a budgeted census of approximately 122 residents. This individual will provide leadership to the nursing department, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain quality standards, and foster a collaborative culture across the clinical team. The ideal candidate is an experienced Director of Nursing who enjoys coaching teams, building accountability, and creating a positive work environment while delivering exceptional resident care.

Requirements

  • Active RN license required
  • Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading clinical teams in long-term care
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal skilled nursing regulations
  • Experience preparing for and successfully navigating regulatory surveys
  • Proven leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to build trust, improve culture, and lead through change

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services within the facility
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness
  • Partner closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team to achieve operational and clinical goals
  • Mentor, coach, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff
  • Promote employee engagement and foster a collaborative team culture
  • Monitor staffing, scheduling, and clinical performance metrics
  • Support admissions, resident care planning, and overall clinical operations
  • Maintain high standards for resident care and customer satisfaction
