Requirements

Current Maryland RN licensure
Progressive management experience in a skilled nursing facility highly recommended

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure systems are in place for effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Department of Nursing.
Utilize the performance improvement process to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Nursing Department.
Monitor clinical data to ensure the facility meets the clinical needs of each resident and the facility's clinical goals.
Initiate appropriate and timely problem identification and resolution in response to changes in clinical data.
Routinely monitor census, resident acuity, and staffing levels to ensure effective and efficient staffing patterns.
In the absence of the Administrator, oversee facility operations.
Ensure systems are in place for timely and effective clinical decision-making regarding the admission of new residents.
Participate in monitoring patient referrals and actual admissions, identifying potential barriers to admissions and recommending solutions to accommodate additional patient types.
