About The Position
Searching for a Director of Nursing who leads with both clinical rigor and genuine compassion. This is a meaningful leadership role at one of Texas's most established behavioral health facilities, with the support of a national healthcare system behind you. This role is ideal for an experienced Behavioral Health or Substance Use Disorder Nurse Manager or Supervisor looking to take the next step into a Director of Nursing position with strong mentorship and support.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Texas)
- 3+ years RN experience
- 1 year Behavioral health nursing experience required
- 2+ years of progressive leadership or management experience required
Nice To Haves
- BSN strongly preferred
- 6+ years RN experience preferred
- 2+ years Behavioral health nursing experience preferred
- Prior DON or Nurse Manager experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
- Provide coaching, development, and mentorship to nurse leaders and staff
- Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and state regulations
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Monitor clinical outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support treatment goals
- Participate in leadership meetings and support strategic decision-making
