About The Position

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) who is dedicated and compassionate. This role involves the administration and management of Nursing Services for residents, ensuring care is provided in accordance with physician orders and resident needs. The DON is responsible for the 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services, maintaining quality standards, and assuming responsibility for center operations in the absence of the Administrator. The company emphasizes a culture of learning and mentorship for its Nurse Leaders.

Requirements

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing.
Prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required.
Two years of experience in a nurse supervisory role required.
Professional image in both appearance and behavior.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred.

A fire and passion for working with seniors.

Responsibilities

Administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with physician orders and the total needs of the residents.
24-hour supervision of Nursing Services.
Directing the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care.
Assuming responsibility for center operations in the absence of the Administrator.
