About The Position
South Hills Rehabilitation Center in Eugene, OR is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) who is passionate about building strong systems, mentoring nurses, maintaining continuous survey readiness, and creating a culture where both residents and staff thrive. This role emphasizes leading and building lasting clinical systems, rather than solely managing daily challenges. The center is investing in nursing leadership and provides significant support, including an Assistant Director of Nursing, Staff Development Coordinator, Clinical Scheduler, Director of Rehabilitation, Dedicated Clinical Recruiter, Regional Clinical Partner, and Chief Nursing Officer. The goal is to provide nursing leaders with the resources needed to focus on quality care, leadership, and clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Holds an active, unencumbered Oregon RN license
- Has Director of Nursing or senior nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
- Is an expert in CMS regulations and state survey readiness
- Enjoys mentoring and developing people
- Thinks strategically and builds systems instead of temporary fixes
- Leads with accountability, collaboration, and compassion
Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
