About The Position

In partnership with the Chief Nursing Officer, provides on-site operational leadership aligned to organizational goals. Accountable for clinical and financial performance, collaborates with stakeholders to advance strategic priorities through planning, communication, performance metrics, and team engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Commitment to obtain a Master’s degree (MSN, MHA, MBA, or related field) within 3 years of hire
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current or obtained within 60 days of hire)
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certification in a clinical or nurse leadership area
  • Previous management experience over multiple units

Responsibilities

  • Oversee ICU/B2 (30 beds), A2 CTU (30 beds), A3 CCU (30 beds), A7 stroke (29 beds), Vascular Access, Wound Ostomy, Stroke and Centralized Tele.
  • Provide overall clinical and operational leadership, overseeing daily operations and supporting site leadership teams to ensure high-quality, efficient care delivery.
  • Drive financial performance by monitoring productivity, labor, and budgets; develop and execute plans to address variances and meet/exceed targets.
  • Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, maintaining adherence to all applicable healthcare standards and requirements.
  • Lead workforce strategy, including staffing, recruitment, performance management, and fostering a positive, high-performing practice environment.
  • Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to advance quality outcomes, implement improvements, and evaluate new technologies and care delivery models.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and with community stakeholders to support strategic priorities, patient experience, and organizational goals.
