About The Position

This is a unique leadership opportunity at a small Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) with a high staff-to-patient ratio. Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non-profit organization in Escondido, missioned to "honor God by serving others with love and compassion." They are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. The 19-bed SNF, opened in 2017, is housed in the same building as their 22-bed Memory Care. The Director of Nursing (DON) ensures high-quality care for all residents by planning, overseeing, and evaluating the day-to-day functions of nursing services in accordance with the company's policies and mission. This role requires adherence to federal and state regulations, promotion of teamwork and accountability among staff, communication with resident families, demonstration of genuine concern for individualized resident needs, and maintenance of accurate and organized records.

Requirements

• Licensed in California as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in nursing supervision within the last five years
• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in related field
• Documentation of current CPR training
• Able to pass a fingerprinted criminal background check (DOJ Livescan)
• Able to pass a health screening, TB test and drug test
• Able to bend, stretch, pull, push, etc. as needed for administrative tasks
• Familiar with basic operations of Microsoft Word, Excel
• Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally
