About The Position
PruittHealth Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their hospice care team. This role is described as a calling to provide exceptional care to patients and families during life’s most meaningful moments. The position involves leading and coordinating hospice services, supervising an interdisciplinary team, overseeing admissions and care planning, ensuring quality assurance, and serving as a clinical and community liaison.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
- 1+ years of field hospice experience.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong clinical skills and understanding of Hospice and Palliative Care.
- Experience in hospice, home health, med/surg, or oncology is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate hospice services for patients and families.
- Supervise interdisciplinary team members (nurses, social workers, chaplains, etc.).
- Oversee admissions, care planning, and compliance with state/federal regulations.
- Ensure quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a clinical and community liaison for hospice education and outreach.
