About The Position

As the Director of Nursing at the Waters of Pewaukee, you'll be a key leader in the community, responsible for both the clinical and operational aspects of resident care. Your duties extend beyond direct patient care to include team management, quality assurance, and compliance. You will work with an RN Case Manager and a dedicated Staff Scheduler.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in good standing by the state community is located
• Previous experience in health care leadership, nursing administration or other related experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of resident care, including the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of personalized care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, collaborate with residents and their families, and coordinate care with other departments and external healthcare providers.
• Ensure all nursing practices comply with state and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits, implement quality improvement initiatives, and maintain a "survey-ready" environment at all times.
• Create and oversee health-related programs that promote resident well-being, including infection prevention protocols and educational sessions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of the nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where the team feels valued and supported.
• Manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for staffing, supplies, and equipment.
• Work with other departments like dining, housekeeping, and administration to ensure a seamless experience for residents and their families.
• Foster genuine connections with residents and their families.
• Provide a lifestyle that is both sophisticated and comfortable.
