Director of Nursing - Bardwell Residences
About The Position
Bardwell Residences is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to lead their clinical team. This full-time position involves conducting resident assessments, developing care plans, and overseeing the health and wellness programs for residents. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage and mentor the clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. The Director of Nursing will play a key role in fostering positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers, ensuring exceptional care experiences.
Requirements
- Maintains current state nursing licensure. LPN required, RN preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing supervisory experience
- Prior senior/supportive living experience strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire team members
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
Responsibilities
- Conducts initial assessment of prospective residents, including off-site visits
- Performs wellness assessments and develops individualized care plans based on the needs and preferences of each resident
- Delivers health promotion services, offers disease prevention counseling, and provides self-care education to residents
- Engages with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience
- Fosters communication by regularly engaging with physicians, pertinent healthcare providers, and family members
- Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the clinical team in providing exceptional care experiences
- Coordinates the Community’s infection control program while maintaining state regulatory compliance
- Develop and oversee the Community’s medication management program
- Contributes toward quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Complies with all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of resident information
