The Director of Nursing Practice provides strategic leadership in advancing nursing excellence and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role leads the foundational work to position the hospital for American Nurses Credentialing Center - ANCC Magnet designation by partnering with the Chief Nursing Officer and nursing leadership to integrate the Magnet Model components into nursing practice. The Director also oversees the Nursing Peer Review (NPR) process and Committee, ensuring adherence to Texas Board of Nursing (BON) regulations. Responsibilities include leading Safe Harbor reviews, minor incident consults, and diversion investigations; collecting, analyzing, and reporting peer review data; and serving as the primary liaison with the BON and TPAPN. Through strategic governance and continuous improvement, the Director fosters a culture of accountability, professional growth, and ethical nursing practice that supports both regulatory excellence and the organization’s mission of delivering high-quality patient care.
