About The Position

The Director of Nursing in Training (DIT) Program at Gateway Healthcare Nebraska is designed for passionate, driven nurses seeking to advance into clinical leadership roles within skilled nursing and post-acute care settings. This immersive, hands-on training program provides mentorship and practical experience to develop leadership, operational, and clinical management skills necessary to succeed as a Director of Nursing. The multi-month program includes on-the-job training under an experienced mentor, focusing on clinical operations and nursing leadership. Participants will gain experience in QAPI meetings, Triple Check processes, PDPM education, market and leadership meetings, regulatory and compliance education, team leadership, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The goal is to build a strong foundation in clinical leadership, operational knowledge, and professional relationships for long-term success.
