Interim/Contract DON (RN)
About The Position
Relavix Health Group is seeking an exceptional Interim/Contract Director of Nursing (DON) RN to provide strong clinical leadership at our skilled nursing facility in Athens, OH. This is a short-term contract assignment where the length will be determined by facility needs. The ideal candidate is a proven nursing leader who can quickly stabilize operations, inspire teams, and drive clinical excellence. This role is for an experienced DON who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and aims to leave organizations stronger. It offers autonomy and the chance to make an immediate difference in resident care and team performance.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Ohio.
- Previous experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting.
- Demonstrated success leading teams through change, growth, or operational challenges.
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, and quality measures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly assess situations, prioritize effectively, and execute with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership for the nursing department.
- Ensure exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor, coach, and support nursing leadership and staff.
- Oversee clinical operations, staffing, quality measures, infection prevention, and survey readiness.
- Partner closely with the Administrator and corporate clinical leadership to achieve operational and clinical goals.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
- Help create a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
