About The Position

The Village of Wentworth Heights has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Nursing Care to join their team. This is a Permanent Full-Time position located at 1620 Upper Wentworth St, Hamilton, ON L9B 2W3. The expected hiring range for this position is $81,370 to $105,700. This role falls within a broader internal salary band, with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance. Requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Heart Save Level of CPR.
  • Three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
  • Understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Assistant Director of Nursing Care role.

Nice To Haves

  • RNAO/RPNAO membership.
  • MDS credentialed
  • An awareness and understanding of infection control practices, workplace hazardous materials and chemicals (WHMIS), as well as, all relevant health and safety procedures.
  • Skill in operating common hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Possess a current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
