Requirements

  • Associate's, Associate of Applied Science, or Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Active state licensure as required
  • Seven or more years of Nuclear Medicine and/or PET experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in radiopharmaceutical management, regulatory compliance, and clinical operations
  • Experience leading vendor partnerships, technology implementations, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance clinical excellence, operational performance, and financial stewardship
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
  • Passion for innovation, collaboration, and advancing patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Establish the direction for Nuclear Medicine and PET services across the organization, driving consistency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while supporting growth initiatives and exceptional patient care.
  • Lead national contracting and vendor partnerships, negotiate pricing and service agreements, evaluate new radiopharmaceuticals, and develop standardized practices that improve quality and financial performance.
  • Champion the adoption of advanced imaging software, AI applications, and emerging PET technologies while partnering with clinical, IT, and operational teams to successfully implement new solutions.
  • Serve as the organization's expert on radiation safety and regulatory compliance, overseeing radioactive material licensing, policy development, staff education, and compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to develop imaging protocols, optimize scanner performance, oversee quality assurance programs, and ensure consistent, high-quality diagnostic outcomes across every location.
  • Identify opportunities to expand clinical research, implement investigational protocols, and introduce innovative imaging services that position SimonMed at the forefront of outpatient molecular imaging.
  • Manage vendor relationships, software investments, and departmental resources while identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies, cost savings, and sustainable growth.
  • Build high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, and accountability while fostering a culture centered on patient care, innovation, and continuous learning.
