About The Position

Collaborates with Corewell Health South leadership team, medical group support departments (including operations, quality, finance, compensation, coding, and revenue cycle) and hospital leaders to advance financial, quality and patient and employee experience. Create and maintain operational efficiency and system growth efforts for the designated service line. Accountable for day-to-day operations, integrating system support services, business planning, pro forma development, contract and labor management, provider compensation planning, engagement and directing opportunity assessment and variance resolutions to achieve network and division goals. Partner with CHS medical director(s) to form a leadership dyad and develop goals to support the mission and vision of the organization. In coordination with CHS Senior Leaders, develop transformational strategies to respond to evolving market and industry trends including the transition to value-based care. Work with medical directors, physicians, providers and administration to develop and recommend clinical processes, programs and services that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, regulatory compliance, and excellent service. Oversee optimization to improve practice efficiency, patient outcomes and patient satisfaction. Oversee the development and implementation of annual operations and capital budgets. Select, supervise and develop the leadership potential of managers, coordinators, and team leaders that are responsible for day to day practice operations. Oversee the recruitment, selection, orientation, training and retention of practice staff in collaboration with the Human Resources department and practice managers. Work effectively with the physician recruiting team to support the recruitment and placement of qualified physicians and APPs. Prepare comparative analyses of practice data to industry standards, including revenue, expenses, physician productivity, staffing patterns, scheduling patterns. Reviews charges and visit encounters for variations and patterns. Develop and assist in the administration and implementation of policies, procedures and protocols necessary to accomplish goals. Participate in the evaluation and establishment of new practice start-ups and integrated/acquired practices consistent with CHS's physician integration strategy. Assess customer service needs and develops and implements improvement plans on a continuous basis. Work with CHS facility management team for the planning of construction or remodeling projects, including interior design for new or existing office space. Work with CHS’s Marketing department to develop ideas/ tools/ techniques for marketing the practices. Represent CHS and/or affiliate companies by active participation on selected Boards, committees, organizations and task forces within CHS, local communities, or on regional, State and Federal levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Health Administration or other related field or equivalent combination of training and/or experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • 3 years of relevant leadership experience
