The School of Professional Psychology (SOPP) at Spalding University is hiring for a Director of our Neuropsychology Emphasis Area within our doctoral program. The program is fully accredited and has a strong national reputation. The successful candidate will continue building upon the program's strengths, teaching and training in accordance with the Minnesota Conference Guidelines. They will balance teaching, scholarship, and service, acting as strong clinician-educators who utilize best practices in teaching and enjoy student mentoring. Competence in supervision and support of neuropsychological training within the department training clinic, the Center for Behavioral Health, is ideal. The role also involves being a thoughtful scholar with a record of or promise in presenting and/or publishing in their chosen research interest areas. Strong interpersonal skills and a cooperative spirit are essential for working collegially on university and departmental service committees. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, with immediate eligibility for licensure in KY as a psychologist. Early career candidates are considered, with mentorship and supervision provided if needed for licensure. The position offers scheduling flexibility (outside of class times), and faculty members can dedicate up to eight hours per week to research, consultation, direct service (e.g., private practice), and/or supervision. Opportunities exist to engage in direct service through the Faculty Practice Plan, seeing private practice clients at the Center for Behavioral Health. Additional contract supervision for doctoral students on practicum may also be available.
