About The Position

The Director, Neighborhood Place of Family Service is the leader for creating a culture of community engagement and relationship building for making lasting transformative impacts to those served through the center. Specific tasks include defining, coordinating, and promoting residents, clients, staff, tenants, partners and supporters; and ensures new service and service enhancements are in alignment with the Social Determinants of Health through a trauma informed lens as defined by the agency; oversees a healthy, safe and productive facility environment and assists with the development and execution of a Strategic Plan.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education, health, social work, public administration or other related human service field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in directing staff and managing programs.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in overseeing a community center and/or coordination of multi-agency services.
Understands cultural differences and sensitivity to the implications of culture for service delivery.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) required.
Staff will be required to submit proof of their vaccination status or may request to be exempt from vaccination due to a religious and/or medical accommodation.
Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate State agency as a qualified practitioner.
State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of five (5) years experience in working with low-income, minority, multi-problem families is desirable.

Responsibilities

Understand the mission, vision, and values of the agency, and the ability to communicate such with staff, students and stakeholders and ensure that clients have access, as needed, to all five pillars of the social determinants of health with a trauma informed lens through Agency services and/or community partners.
Promote and support the purpose and core mission of Family Service – Neighborhood Place as they relate to enhancing engagement with residents, clients, staff, tenants, stakeholders and partners.
Participate in the Agency Strategic Planning process and provide leadership for the successful achievement of the the Balanced Scorecard goals, objectives and metrics in the alignment with Family Service – Neighborhood Place and the corresponding staff performance metrics.
Support the Agency’s talent management efforts by evolving Agency leadership and benchstrength and assisting with implementation of the Agency career pathing opportunities.
Develop and oversee the execution of tenant leases and partner memorandum of agreements and implement an orientation for integrating into an effective continuum of care.
Work with Sr. Leadership to develop and implement systems related to the continuum of care, data tracking and reporting, and facility maintenance.
In partnership with Sr. Leadership, evolve and oversee the execution of Family Service – Neighborhood Place protocol, policies and procedures.
Coordinate, support, and attend all activities and scheduled meetings of the staff, tenants and partners and, as assigned, Board of Directors and actively follow-up on all decisions made to ensure a healthy, safe and productive facility environment.
Serve as an ambassador in supporting and participating in community awareness, outreach activities and engagement opportunities.
Conduct research to identify new methods and opportunities for furthering enagements, relationships, and financing.
Provide support for volunteers, donations and unrestricted funding efforts as coordinated with Sr. Leadership.
Act as liaison for internal and external communications directly with residents, clients, staff, tenants and partners; and provide regular status reports to Sr. Leadership.
