About The Position

The Director, National Accounts and Foodservice will play a critical role in driving Del Real Foods' growth in the restaurant chain segment while overseeing the K-12 and Broadline Distributor teams. This position is at the forefront of advancing Del Real Foods' mission to bring authentic and delicious ready-to-eat Mexican cuisine to households and foodservice establishments across the nation. The primary focus of this role is to strategically grow Del Real Foods’ presence within national and regional restaurant chain accounts. The target accounts include established chains listed in the Chain Store Guide, CUSA, as well as emerging chain operators whose menus and growth trajectories align with Del Real Foods' strategic goals. This position also ensures that the K-12 and Broadline Distributor teams are aligned with company objectives, driving sustainable and profitable growth in these critical segments. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a deep understanding of the foodservice industry, capable of building strong, customized partnerships that meet customer needs while achieving the company’s business objectives. Requirements

  • EXPERIENCE: 7–10 YEARS OF SALES LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE IN THE FOODSERVICE INDUSTRY, WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS IN NATIONAL AND REGIONAL RESTAURANT CHAIN ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT.
  • EDUCATION: BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN BUSINESS, MARKETING, OR A RELATED FIELD; MBA IS A PLUS.
  • EXPERTISE IN THE FOODSERVICE INDUSTRY, WITH A FOCUS ON RESTAURANT CHAINS, K-12, AND DISTRIBUTOR SEGMENTS.
  • STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLS WITH THE ABILITY TO INSPIRE AND GUIDE CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS.
  • EXCELLENT RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING, NEGOTIATION, AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
  • STRATEGIC THINKER WITH A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH TO DECISION-MAKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING.
  • ABILITY TO ADAPT TO A FAST-PACED, DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT WHILE DELIVERING RESULTS.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM), sales analytics platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in sales reporting and retail management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Restaurant Chain Business Growth Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with regional and national restaurant chain accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers, including menu development teams and procurement professionals.
  • Develop tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of restaurant chain partners, ensuring alignment with their menu and business goals.
  • Conduct business reviews with key accounts to drive incremental growth and assess future opportunities.
  • K-12 and Broadline Distributor Team Oversight Lead and mentor the K-12 and Broadline Distributor team members, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sustainable and profitable growth in the K-12 and distributor segments.
  • Monitor team performance and provide support to maximize efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sales results.
  • Success Metrics Achievement of revenue and margin targets in the restaurant chain, K-12, and distributor segments.
  • Expansion of Del Real Foods’ presence in new and existing restaurant chain accounts.
  • Growth in market share and profitability within the K-12 and Broadline Distributor channels.
  • Effective team leadership and alignment with company goals.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the foodservice sector, with a primary focus on national and regional restaurant chains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and supply chain, to support customer needs and drive innovation.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activity to proactively address market challenges and opportunities.
