About The Position

The Director of Mental Health Services works directly with the CEO and COO to oversee mental health services across Tennessee. The role leads development efforts, ensures compliance with state regulations, helps address organizational development issues, and supports strategies to attract, retain, and expand Support Solutions services throughout the state. The Director recommends short- and long-range development plans and programs that support the company’s values and objectives, represents Support Solutions with external groups as assigned, and assists with marketing mental health services.

The Director works with the CEO, COO, and Director of Quality on requests for proposals, contract submissions, and other required operational and financial data submissions. The role serves as liaison for Employment and Community First CHOICES and Therap and performs other duties assigned by the CEO or COO. The Director is expected to follow Support Solutions’ values and quality-management practices, maintain a safe work environment, attend scheduled safety training, and operate Support Solutions and personal transportation safely.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or a clinical discipline, combined with at least five years of experience in the mental health field; alternatively, a master’s degree in one of these fields is preferred.
• Functional computer knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record maintained throughout employment.
• Meet state and local requirements for criminal background checks, sexual offender checks, abuse registry, and felony offender listing.
• Meet all training requirements and keep training current.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to practice confidentiality.
• Valid regular driver license meeting state requirements in the state of residence.
• Valid automobile insurance maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing efforts for all mental health services.
• Serve as liaison for Employment and Community First CHOICES and Therap.
• Practice Support Solutions’ quality-management principles: plan, measure, assess, and improve.
• Practice safe work habits, attend scheduled safety training, and operate Support Solutions and personal transportation safely.
• Perform other duties assigned by the CEO, COO, or authorized staff.
