The Director of Memory Care is responsible for the coordination of all resident care, activity programming, and staffing of Memory Care services throughout the community. Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience in specialized dementia care programs
• CPR Certified
• Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads engaging activities that are appropriate for the level of care, allowing residents the opportunity to exercise their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
• Coordinates special outside activities, including scenic drives or field trips.
• Assists the Director of Life Enrichment with calendar ideas and programming.
• Prepares and follows a budget.
• Interfaces with physicians and other care providers if needed.
• Supervises staff, including creating and coordinating staffing schedules.
• Works in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, and demonstrating effective interpersonal skills.
• Operates a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.
