About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the efficient and professional daily operation of the Water Street Health Services Medical Clinic, its programs, and services. All Water Street Mission staff must be willing to sign the Water Street Ministries’ Statement of Faith, be a current and active member and/or regular attendee of a local church, and be able to fully support the Water Street Mission’s core values and ministry philosophy. The role involves sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in words and actions, walking alongside fellow WSM staff in Christian community, encouraging restoration in the lives of coworkers and guests, and working in full coordination with other WSM staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
  • Willing to sign the Water Street Ministries’ Statement of Faith.
  • A current and active member and/or regular attendee of a local church.
  • Able to fully support the Water Street Mission’s core values and ministry philosophy.
  • Be able and willing to share the Gospel and participate in the ministry activities of Water Street Mission.
  • Subscribe to the Water Street Mission Statement of Faith and Qualifications of Employment upon hire and continuously while employed.
  • Adhere to the Water Street Mission Employee Handbook.

Nice To Haves

  • Management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with trauma histories preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to medical clinical staff. Plan team meetings.
  • Develop, update, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to WSHS policies and clinical standards among medical staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and provider peer review processes.
  • Oversee inventory of medical equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Medical Director to ensure effective delivery of healthcare services.
  • Review referrals from medical facilities and complete intake clearances for shelter placement.
  • Serve as a liaison with hospitals when guests are hospitalized, coordinating and providing clearance for their return to campus.
  • Collaborate with the Recuperative Care manager on admission screenings.
  • Provide consultation and training to WSM staff on health-related issues on campus.
  • Represent Medical Services in the community, including assisting with tours, thanking donors, and participating in fundraising activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the Lancaster medical community.
  • Attend and participate in WSM’s Mission Director and Multidisciplinary Team meetings.
  • Provide oversight of the Medical Clinic budget, including planning, monitoring, and management.
  • Keep the Senior VP informed of critical issues and operational concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of Medical Services.
