About The Position

Director of Media Blackbaud’s software and data power the people and organizations changing the world—from local food banks to Fortune 500 CSR programs. As Director of Media, you’ll own the full-funnel strategy that puts our mission-driven brand in front of every changemaker who can benefit from it. You’ll blend imaginative brand storytelling with rigorous performance discipline, turning awareness into pipeline and pipeline into lasting impact. Requirements

  • 10+ years in B2B or SaaS media leadership with end-to-end ownership of brand and performance programs.
  • Demonstrated success building and coaching high-impact media teams (internal and agency).
  • Deep expertise in SEM, paid social, display/programmatic, video/CTV (connected TV), and emerging channels (audio, retail media, ABM platforms).
  • Portfolio of inventive, cost-efficient campaigns—surprise-and-delight IRL activations, micro-targeted digital/physical hybrids, buzz-worthy stunts—that drove measurable lift.
  • Mastery of forecasting, scenario planning, and financial modeling for media (LTV/CAC, payback, NRR influence).
  • Hands-on experience with incrementality testing, MMM, MTA, and advanced attribution platforms (e.g., Neustar, Google Ads Data Hub, Measure Studio).
  • Strong analytical chops—adept at turning complex data into clear decisions and compelling stories.
  • Experience scaling programs internationally and navigating privacy/consent frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Passion for purpose-driven work and the ability to translate mission into media moments that resonate.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the full-funnel media vision—from upper-funnel brand campaigns to in-market performance programs—balancing long-term equity with near-term growth targets.
  • Lead an A-team of channel experts (search, paid social, programmatic, video/CTV—connected TV, emerging platforms), fostering a culture of curiosity, speed, and accountability.
  • Launch unconventional, attention-grabbing initiatives—dream up resourceful stunts, hyper-local activations, and immersive brand moments that punch far above their spend.
  • Own forecasting, budget modeling, and attribution to guide investment decisions that optimize both CAC and Net Revenue Retention (NRR).
  • Design and evangelize a test-and-learn roadmap (incrementality, holdouts, MMM, MTA) that turns insights into repeatable playbooks.
  • Drive brand affinity through creative partnerships and breakthrough placements that make audiences think effortlessly and positively about Blackbaud.
  • Integrate with cross-functional peers in brand, growth, product marketing, creative, and analytics to ensure cohesive storytelling and shared KPIs.
  • Scale globally—managing agency and in-house execution across multiple regions, languages, and regulatory environments.
  • Report what matters—delivering concise, outcome-oriented media narratives to senior leadership.
