About The Position

The Director of Media Production & Creative Content leads the organization's media production strategy, creative content development, and storytelling execution across all ministries, campuses, events, and digital platforms. This role serves as the chief architect of media production and visual storytelling, overseeing video production, photography, motion graphics, livestream production, creative content creation, and media systems while building and developing high-capacity volunteer and staff teams. The ideal candidate possesses executive-level leadership skills, strong team development capabilities, exceptional creative instincts, and advanced technical expertise in media production. This individual can move seamlessly between strategic planning meetings, creative brainstorming sessions, production environments, and leadership development opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years leading media production teams
  • Experience in nonprofit, broadcast, television, film, or agency environments
  • Advanced proficiency in video production and editing
  • Experience managing volunteer-driven organizations
  • Strong understanding of storytelling and creative development
  • Experience producing live events and livestream broadcasts

Responsibilities

  • Lead all media production efforts across the organization
  • Oversee video, photography, livestream, editing, motion graphics, and content creation teams
  • Develop annual media goals aligned with ministry and organizational initiatives
  • Build systems that allow media teams to operate with excellence and consistency
  • Create standards for production quality across all locations and departments
  • Lead department planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Support the overall vision through media execution, including sermon series visuals, service opener videos, bumper videos, worship visuals, testimonies, story-driven content, screen content, broadcast support, livestream production, creative moments, and special elements.
  • Serve as the lead storyteller, identifying life change stories, producing testimonies, creating documentary-style stories, writing and producing promotional campaigns, capturing impact and outcomes, developing social-first video content, and producing content that drives engagement and connection.
  • Serve as Executive Producer for major projects, overseeing video production, photography, livestream production, podcast production, multi-camera production, event capture, motion graphics, editing workflows, asset management, and media archives.
  • Manage production schedules, deadlines, staffing plans, and project workflows.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop videographers, editors, photographers, camera operators, graphics operators, producers, directors, storytellers, and social content creators.
  • Build leadership pipelines so that every department area has capable media leaders.
  • Develop creative concepts, design visual storytelling strategies, brainstorm innovative presentations, improve production quality, enhance audience engagement, and maintain excellence in visual communication.
  • Oversee media production equipment, camera systems, video switching systems, production software, digital asset management, livestream infrastructure, and production workflows.
  • Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve effectiveness and efficiency.
