About The Position

The Master of Science in Marketing Program is seeking a Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight for both the in-person and online graduate programs. As a key leader within the nationally recognized Department of Marketing at Mays Business School, this role is responsible for recruiting and retaining high-potential students and strengthening the program’s reputation. The ideal candidate brings experience building and growing successful graduate programs, coupled with strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills. The Director will lead day-to-day program operations, collaborate with faculty and stakeholders, and serve as a trusted resource for current and prospective students. This role calls for a detail-oriented, student-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic academic environment and is passionate about delivering excellence in graduate education. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten years of related experience in management, graduate degree program administration, board management, or higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for program planning, including planning and executing curricular and co-curricular activities.
  • Engages with industry and program partners to create educational and employment opportunities for students and ensure the success of both the in-person and online programs.
  • Oversees student enrollment, course scheduling, and program evaluation.
  • Works with faculty to design and update curriculum for both in-person and online programs.
  • Implements mechanisms to ensure the quality of education in both in-person and online formats such as monitoring student performance, assessing course effectiveness, and maintaining accreditation standards.
  • Manages budgets for both in-person and online programs, including allocating resources effectively and identifying opportunities for cost-saving measures.
  • Monitors trends in higher education, online learning, and relevant industries to identify opportunities for program enhancement and innovation.
  • Supervises program staff to achieve the goals of the unit and mission of the department.
  • Develops and implements strategies to attract and enroll students in both in-person and online programs, including marketing efforts, outreach activities, and admissions processes.
  • Works with the admissions committee to manage applications and admissions.
  • Manages student progress toward degree.
  • Provides support to students enrolled in both in-person and online programs, including academic advising, career counseling, and access to resources.
