Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
  • Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.
  • Experience managing the marketing function including strategy execution and management of a budget
  • Experience leading a team of direct reports and including across an organization
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing.
  • At least ten years of experience in Retail and/ or Sporting Goods marketing or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the golf industry.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the marketing team in the execution of all elements of the strategic marketing plan.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to evaluate strategic plan.
  • Development and monitoring of marketing budget to include all downstream marketing elements.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines including deployment of environmental branding at all retail locations.
  • Gathers and analyzes information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of products.
  • Conducts pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identifies needs for new products and services and makes recommendations to leadership.
  • Negotiates contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.
  • Composes, develops, evaluates, and conducts training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and management staff in the department.
