About The Position

The Director of Marketing plays a critical leadership role in driving brand strategy, demand generation, and company growth. This hands-on position leads the development and execution of integrated marketing initiatives, ensuring FranFund's brand remains strong, consistent, and differentiated within the franchise industry. Working closely with executive leadership, the Director of Marketing will mentor a high-performing team, strengthen referral partner relationships, oversee marketing performance across all channels, and deliver measurable business results. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who enjoys balancing big-picture planning with day-to-day execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with proven success in leadership roles
  • Hands-on skills in content creation, basic design, and project management
  • Experience managing multiple marketing channels simultaneously
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong writing, basic design, and project management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Salesforce (Pardot), HubSpot, Canva and Monday.com or other project management tools
  • Strategic thinker with strong initiative
  • Proven track record of driving growth and leading creative projects from concept through execution
  • Data-driven mindset with strong quantitative analysis skills with experience measuring marketing ROI
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy aligned with company growth goals.
  • Establish KPIs, manage the marketing budget, and report results to executive leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team while managing external vendors.
  • Maintain and strengthen brand across all marketing channels.
  • Ensure consistent messaging, creative direction, and brand standards.
  • Drive qualified lead generation across franchise candidates, referral partners, and franchisors.
  • Oversee website optimization, SEO, paid search, email marketing, and marketing automation.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize ROI through data-driven decisions.
  • Develop educational content, webinars, videos, and other resources.
  • Support executive thought leadership, media opportunities, and podcast initiatives.
  • Create marketing programs and sales tools for franchise consultants, brokers, franchisors, lending partners, and strategic partners.
  • Develop co-branded collateral, presentations, landing pages, webinars, and promotional campaigns.
  • Oversee the development of marketing collateral, digital assets, presentations, video content, and event materials.
  • Lead marketing support for conferences, trade shows, webinars, speaking engagements, and company events.
  • Manage Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) and marketing automation.
  • Maintain dashboards, improve lead routing and attribution, and optimize marketing processes through analytics.
