The Director of Marketing Measurement Strategy & Implementation is responsible for developing and operationalizing marketing measurement as a core strategic capability that drives marketing’s direction and investment decisions. This role sits within the Microsoft Advertising (MSA) Marketing Strategy, Growth & Operations team and defines how Marketing not only understands impact but also implements measurement systems that connect marketing activities to tangible business outcomes. By leading the formulation of measurement strategies, overseeing the implementation of supporting technology and operations, and ensuring insights are trusted and actionable, this role empowers Marketing to function with clarity, accountability, and influence as a growth engine. Success in this role requires the ability to: Define and implement Marketing’s measurement strategy, partnering with leaders across marketing, sales, analytics, product & finance, and transforming ambiguous business questions into clear, outcome-based measurement frameworks that link marketing efforts to growth, revenue, and strategic objectives. Design and execute scalable, rigorous measurement systems, converting business goals into actionable metrics, analytical methodologies, and implementation roadmaps across platforms, data pipelines, and reporting layers. Establish trust and foster adoption at scale, instituting standards for data quality, governance, and compliance, and leading operational changes to integrate measurement systems seamlessly into marketing workflows. Translate complex data signals into executive-ready guidance, elevating storytelling to inform leadership decisions regarding prioritization, optimization, and investment allocation.
