About The Position

The Director of Marketing (Director of Marketing) is a strategic, results-driven leader responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy. This role oversees brand management, communications, digital marketing, product marketing, customer engagement, and market intelligence. The Director of Marketing ensures the organization’s value proposition is clearly communicated, supports revenue growth, enhances market presence, and drives alignment between marketing initiatives and business objectives. The DIRECTOR of Marketing will be responsible for achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and its strategic goals. The Director of Marketing will bring a collaborative approach to working with division directors to progress, initiatives, goals, and results related to the following responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or executive role.
  • Proven success in building and scaling marketing organizations.
  • Strong expertise in brand development, digital marketing, lead generation, and B2B strategy (industry experience preferred if customizing for energy, industrial, or technology verticals).
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while executing with precision.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success with building a high performing workforce and leading a culture of belonging that respects every team member

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a long-term marketing strategy that supports overall business goals, revenue targets, and market expansion.
  • Lead brand positioning, messaging, and corporate identity initiatives to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape company vision, go-to-market plans, and product direction.
  • Oversee marketing planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and campaign execution.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across digital, creative, communications, and product marketing functions.
  • Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to measure campaign effectiveness, ROI, lead generation, and customer retention.
  • Develop and manage internal and external communication strategies, including public relations, media engagement, and crisis communication.
  • Oversee creation of high-quality content across web, digital, social, sales collateral, and corporate communications.
  • Ensure all messaging reinforces the company’s mission, values, and industry leadership.
  • Direct digital marketing efforts including SEO/SEM, email campaigns, website optimization, and social media strategy.
  • Lead demand generation programs to deliver qualified leads to sales, support pipeline growth, and improve conversion rates.
  • Evaluate new technologies, partners, and platforms to continuously improve performance.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and industry trend assessments to guide strategy.
  • Partner with product / operations teams to develop product positioning, value propositions, and pricing strategies.
  • Support product launches with integrated marketing campaigns and sales enablement materials.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Product leaders to ensure tight alignment on messaging, customer insights, and revenue goals.
  • Support talent branding, recruitment marketing, and internal communication initiatives.
