We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Maintenance/Avionics with experience in general aviation to oversee our maintenance & avionics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aircraft maintenance, with a broad range of expertise in general aviation aircraft, including piston singles, turbines, and jet aircraft. As the Director of Maintenance & Avionics (DOM-A), you will play a critical role in safely ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of our customers’ aircraft while upholding our commitment to quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Mandatory Pre-Employment & Random Drug Testing: Prior to your employment, you will have to submit to an FAA pre-employment drug test, along with periodic random drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulations. You will not be put on official duty, in any capacity, until your pre-employment drug test has been verified “negative.”

Nice To Haves

  • Avionics experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Director of Maintenance or in a senior leadership role within an aviation maintenance organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the maintenance & avionics departments, overseeing all aspects of aircraft maintenance/avionics operations.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities, including scheduled inspections, repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team of skilled technicians and mechanics, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as line service and the parts department, to support operational objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, training, and professional development initiatives for maintenance & avionics personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including aircraft logbooks, maintenance logs, and regulatory documentation.
