About The Position

Saratech is seeking a Director of Legal Affairs for a full-time position. This is a remote position with potential travel to our corporate headquarters located in Mission Viejo, CA.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business Law
  • 3+ years of experience with an in-house legal department.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Experience in aerospace industry and with federal defense contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate transactions and agreements with customers, partners, and vendors, including but not limited to MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and reseller agreements.
  • Manage and assist outside counsel with various legal projects as needed, including corporate, employment, litigation and intellectual property issues.
  • Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to Saratech management and other employees on a variety of legal topics related to the business.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business.
  • Promote legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company.
  • Secure, manage, and enforce Saratech's intellectual property rights.
  • Design and deliver legal training to Saratech employees on various topics relevant to the business.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect the business.
  • Balance legal risk with business necessity.
