About The Position

Quiet Village Landscaping is seeking a senior operations leader to take ownership of their landscape services division. This role involves building people, systems, sales, and operational discipline for the division's growth. The Director will have full leadership responsibility for the performance and growth of recurring service operations, including mowing, gardening, fertilization, irrigation, plant health, and seasonal services. This is a business-minded leadership position focused on strengthening operations, developing managers, improving financial performance, retaining clients, expanding the service portfolio, and significantly growing department revenue. The position combines office leadership with regular visits to customer properties, job sites, and field operations.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in landscaping, lawn care, irrigation, horticulture, property services, facilities services, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing a service-based business unit, branch, department, or company.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and improve profitability.
  • Strong understanding of recurring-service operations, production planning, workforce management, and customer retention.
  • Experience managing managers as well as front-line field teams.
  • Strong business-development, client-relationship, and negotiation skills.
  • Financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, job costing, margins, and operational reporting.
  • Ability to create structure, establish accountability, and lead organizational change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with field-service, CRM, estimating, scheduling, or business-management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, horticulture, landscape management, operations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • A history of running or successfully growing a landscape or service business is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the landscape services division.
  • Develop and execute a growth plan for recurring service revenue and departmental profitability.
  • Oversee service managers, account managers, crew leaders, technicians, and field teams.
  • Establish performance goals and accountability standards for sales, retention, labor efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate pricing, estimating, routing, production rates, staffing, equipment, and service delivery.
  • Drive business development through existing-account growth, referrals, partnerships, and new opportunities.
  • Build relationships with high-value residential and estate-care clients.
  • Improve processes for scheduling, dispatching, quality control, client communication, and invoicing.
  • Recruit, coach, retain, and develop high-performing managers and field leaders.
  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, job costing, labor reports, sales pipelines, and department KPIs.
  • Partner with company ownership and senior leadership on annual planning and major operational decisions.
  • Create scalable systems that support continued growth without sacrificing service quality.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, honest communication, continuous improvement, and accountability.
