About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Director of Laboratory for a full-time leadership role in Ottumwa, Iowa. This role oversees laboratory operations within a hospital setting, is responsible for team-building and leadership within the laboratory and hospital, ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies, and supports the growth of laboratory services through client recruitment and retention. The position is based in a hospital-based laboratory setting and is a leadership role within clinical operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or scientific discipline REQUIRED
• Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience REQUIRED
• ASCP or AMT certification REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

• MBA or MA/MS in scientific discipline preferred
• 8 years supervisory or management experience in hospital or reference laboratory preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees laboratory operations within hospital setting
