About The Position

The Director of IT/OT Manufacturing Solutions will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the digital shop floor experience including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), OT, Field Operations and Quality platforms. The role is critical in driving the seamless integration of shop floor technologies with enterprise systems to enhance manufacturing agility, product quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in MES and Quality systems or OT implementation and management.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell), OT technologies and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Nice To Haves

  • Project management and agile familiarity
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotive).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for IT/OT integration aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to define and govern a future state architecture and roadmaps that leverage smart manufacturing design principles
  • System Implementation and Management: Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of MES, OT and Quality platforms.
  • Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, secure and meet the needs of the manufacturing operations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within manufacturing and quality operations.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all MES and Quality systems comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, validation protocols, and user manuals.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team of MES, Field Ops, OT and Quality professionals.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities for team members.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, quality, engineering, Tech & Data, and supply chain teams, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and consultants related to MES, Industrial and Quality platforms.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the budget associated with IT/OT operations
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
