The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure by conducting hands-on troubleshooting, configuration, installation, testing, and administration of components. This role involves expert-level knowledge and skill with applicable server networking software, storage hardware, and cloud applications. The Director will collaborate with the Executive Director of IT on the department’s strategic vision, goals, and priorities, and provide input for the development, monitoring, and implementation of the overall strategic technology plan. This position requires continual assessment of the technology infrastructure in relation to current developments and trends, and the analysis and recommendation of new and revised infrastructure support systems. The Director will evaluate and recommend changes to the IT infrastructure as technologies develop and business requirements change, ensuring designs meet performance and uptime requirements. They will establish support procedures, processes, and methods for hardware/software selection, manage and supervise department personnel, and ensure a high level of guest service and support. The role also involves managing vendor relationships, coordinating planning and scheduling, developing and monitoring budgets, overseeing documentation, assisting with IT examinations, maintaining a safe work environment, and staying current with industry knowledge. The Director will also create and maintain a positive work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
