About The Position

As Director of Investor Relations, you'll sit at the intersection of investment management, product development, and business development. You'll serve as the trusted voice behind Potomac's tax-loss harvesting, direct indexing, and hedge fund strategies—presenting to advisors, consultants, family offices, and institutional allocators, and helping turn sophisticated research into relationships. Potomac is not your typical asset manager. We cut through the industry BS with brutal transparency and an obsession with execution. If you’re looking for a slow pace and low volume, this isn’t for you. If you want to drive, build, and scale, this is your shot.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in one or more of: Portfolio Management, Investment Research, Investor Relations, Institutional Sales, Investment Consulting, or Wealth/Asset Management.
Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, and risk management.
Demonstrated ability to conduct investment research and evaluate investment strategies.
Experience presenting to investment committees, boards, consultants, allocators, or due diligence teams.
Experience using AI tools to improve research and productivity.

Nice To Haves

Experience with tax-loss harvesting, direct indexing, factor investing, momentum, trend following, tactical asset allocation, or alternative investments.
Experience within an RIA, asset manager, hedge fund, family office, or institutional consulting firm.
CFA, CMT, CAIA, CQF, or similar designation.
Published research, market commentary, conference presentations, or other evidence of thought leadership.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for Potomac's tax-loss harvesting, direct indexing, and hedge fund strategies.
Participate in meetings with advisors, consultants, family offices, institutional investors, and due diligence teams.
Present investment research and portfolio insights to internal and external audiences.
Support fundraising, business development, and strategic growth initiatives.
Develop presentations, white papers, market commentary, and educational content.
Respond to client and prospect inquiries and help deepen existing relationships.
Collaborate with portfolio managers and researchers on new products and investment solutions.
Become a trusted representative for Potomac's tax-loss harvesting and hedge fund strategies.
Develop strong relationships with advisors, consultants, and allocators.
Create thought leadership content that elevates Potomac's profile.
Establish yourself as a recognized expert in systematic investing and portfolio management.
