The role directs inventory planning and position management across locations and product lines, aligns inventory, demand, and production capabilities, and works closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Finance to support customer service and profitability. The Director establishes inventory priorities, resolves complex inventory challenges, and leads the inventory management team while partnering with the VP of Supply Chain to execute approved supply chain strategies and initiatives. The Director oversees domestic and foreign hop-position management, including purchase-order oversight, delivery timing, inventory and pricing input to purchasing and trading decisions, price-list maintenance, and supply and demand planning for current and new products. The role is accountable for inventory records, pesticide traceability and application records, export MRL requirements, and escalation of regulatory changes. It also leads cross-functional planning through the company’s sales and operations planning process, connecting customer demand, supply, production capacity, and financial assumptions. The position leads the Inventory Manager and, through that role, the Supply Chain Coordinator and Assistant Supply Chain Specialist. It oversees inventory systems and standards, performance measures, and the annual brewery hop-selection process. The Director also oversees required industry reporting and monitors U.S. hop acreage and production, while sharing market and position information with BarthHaas Group counterparts. The role normally works 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with additional hours, weekends, and customer or grower entertainment as needed. During the September/October harvest, the supply chain team, including this role, works seven days a week for roughly one month. Domestic and international travel is required a few times each year. The employee must regularly sit, stand, and move about the facility, and must be able to drive to Haas facilities. Employment requires compliance with company policies and successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test, as well as compliance with the Integrated Management System and training on applicable procedures.
