The Director of Inpatient Nurse Liaisons manages and coaches the inpatient Clinical Liaison team and provides clinical support for the inpatient hospice and palliative teams at NHRMC and Coastal Region hospitals. This role acts as a key resource for physicians, patients, families, and staff regarding hospice services, palliative care, and end-of-life issues. The Director collaborates with hospice physicians to determine appropriate admissions to the in-hospital hospice program, identifies and addresses barriers in the referral community, and ensures excellent clinical support and patient care for all inpatient providers. By analyzing referral and admission trends, the Director develops improved clinical strategies and participates in strategic planning to enhance the program. Responsibilities include ensuring quality outcomes for patients and families, overseeing human resource functions such as hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary matters, and making staffing recommendations to leadership.
