About The Position

As the Director of Innovation and Product Marketing, you will shape the vision and strategy for new and existing products, driving growth through innovative offerings and differentiated positioning. You will lead cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to commercialization, leveraging customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform decisions. This role balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring alignment between product development, brand, commercial, and operational teams. You will define value propositions, manage product roadmaps, and oversee successful launches that maximize adoption and ROI. The position offers the opportunity to influence long-term product strategy while mentoring and inspiring high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in product marketing, innovation, or brand management within CPG, food, or nutrition; experience in infant, toddler, or maternal health is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and direct reports.
  • Proven track record of taking products from concept to commercialization using structured innovation processes.
  • Strong expertise in product positioning frameworks, competitive analysis, and category management tools (e.g., IRI/Circana, Nielsen, SPINS).
  • Ability to create and present compelling ROI analyses and financial models to leadership.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for food or infant nutrition products (FDA labeling, claims compliance) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and executive-level storytelling tools.
  • Experience managing co-manufacturing relationships and understanding operational and supply chain considerations.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence executives and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the innovation and renovation strategy, including ideation, concept validation, and portfolio optimization.
  • Lead product lifecycle management from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and profitability targets.
  • Drive product positioning, messaging, and value proposition development to differentiate offerings in the market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Brand, Commercial, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of product strategy.
  • Own the development of business cases, ROI analyses, and product briefs to support decision-making.
  • Lead research initiatives, including voice of customer studies and prototyping, to validate product concepts.
  • Mentor and manage project teams, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners to drive strategic product initiatives.
