About The Position

The Director of Infrastructure & Network Operations will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Belt Power's enterprise infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and managed service providers (MSPs). This role is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all systems, while developing and executing a robust disaster recovery (DR) strategy. The Director will manage a team of network and systems administrators, define infrastructure standards, and oversee vendor relationships to support scalable and resilient operations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, network operations, or systems administration.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing enterprise infrastructure teams.
  • Proven experience designing and managing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and server technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
  • ITIL Foundation or similar IT service management credential.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent (preferred for security alignment).

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and network optimization.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Ensure alignment between infrastructure architecture and enterprise IT strategy.
  • Network & Server Operations
  • Oversee the health, performance, and security of all network components, servers, and data centers.
  • Manage configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of switches, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and wireless systems.
  • Ensure timely patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets.
  • ERP & MSP Oversight
  • Collaborate with application and ERP teams to ensure infrastructure supports all three ERP systems effectively.
  • Manage relationships with MSPs and external vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and services are optimized.
  • Coordinate infrastructure support for ERP upgrades, integrations, and migrations.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to enforce infrastructure security policies and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Monitor and respond to infrastructure-related incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • High Availability & Disaster Recovery
  • Design and implement high availability solutions to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Develop, test, and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery (DR) plan, including backup strategies and recovery procedures.
  • Conduct regular DR drills and risk assessments to validate readiness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor infrastructure and network administration teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities to support business growth and operational needs.
  • Assess team skills and implement development plans to build technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Manage performance, staffing, and resource allocation across infrastructure projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, business units, and external partners to align infrastructure initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Communicate infrastructure plans, risks, and performance metrics to executive stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Respect, protect, support, company culture.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
