About The Position

Renesas is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to lead the Hyperscalers and Emerging AI segment within the High-Performance AI and Compute (HPAC) product line. HPAC, part of the Performance Computing Power (PCP) division, develops high-performance digital multiphase power solutions for AI, cloud infrastructure, data centers, servers, networking, and emerging compute applications. As Director, Hyperscalers & Emerging AI, you will own the strategy, business development, and growth of this critical market segment. You will engage directly with leading cloud service providers and emerging AI companies, identify new market and technology opportunities, shape product and portfolio strategy, and orchestrate global Sales, Applications, and Product Management teams to secure design wins and drive sustainable revenue growth. This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape Renesas’ position in some of the fastest-growing segments of the semiconductor market.

Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS or MBA a plus).
15+ years in product management, product marketing, or related roles.
Hands-on experience managing and launching products in data center, server, telecom, networking, or computing markets.
Understanding of power management applications and products.
Track record of driving revenue growth and market adoption.
Strategic thinking with strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Communication that translates complex concepts clearly for technical and executive audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to influence across teams, geographies, and cultures. Ability to be personable and drive process changes.
Experience with driving change that resulted in positive outcomes.
Ability to collaborate and be effective in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Own the global strategy and growth plan for the Hyperscalers and Emerging AI segment, including market priorities, target customers, design-win objectives, and revenue growth.
Identify emerging technologies, applications, customers, and market segments that can expand Renesas’ addressable market and strengthen its competitive position.
Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer architectures, competitive activity, technology roadmaps, and design windows to anticipate opportunities and threats.
Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for product, portfolio, and investment priorities.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with key technical, business, and procurement stakeholders at leading cloud service providers and emerging AI customers.
Lead strategic customer engagements to understand architectures, requirements, technology roadmaps, and future power-management needs.
Orchestrate global Sales and FAE teams in product promotion, opportunity development, and design-win execution.
Drive opportunities from early customer engagement through design win, qualification, and ultimately revenue.
Clearly articulate Renesas’ differentiated value proposition to customers and ensure consistent, high-impact positioning across the organization.
Partner closely with Product Managers to translate customer and market requirements into compelling product requirements and differentiated product roadmaps.
Identify portfolio gaps and recommend new products, technologies, partnerships, or investments required to capture emerging opportunities.
Provide competitive and market intelligence to guide product positioning, roadmap priorities, and go-to-market strategy.
Ensure strong alignment between customer requirements, product strategy, and commercial priorities.
Align Product Management, Engineering, Applications, Sales, Marketing, and Operations around the priorities and objectives of the segment.
Drive disciplined execution and accountability across global, cross-functional teams. Instill sense of urgency and ownership.
Present segment strategy, market opportunities, competitive dynamics, design-win pipeline, and business outlook to senior leadership.
Operate effectively across global organizations and cultures, influencing teams beyond direct reporting lines.
