About The Position

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is a 178-bed acute care facility located in Streamwood, IL and has been providing mental health treatment to the Chicagoland community and the state of Illinois since 1991. We are dedicated to offering services to meet the ever-changing emotional and behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and their families. We are currently seeking a full-time Human Resources Director to join our team. This position is responsible for executing Human Resource activities at the facility for all functional areas, (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, etc.) and serves as a professional resource for facility management on all HR related activities. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
3 years management experience required, and 5 years of healthcare experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and an understanding of Federal and State employment laws and regulations related to HR.
Working knowledge of administering wage/salary programs, benefits, workers compensation, recruiting/retention plans, training/staff development, and employee relations.
Requires leadership, organizational, supervisory and administrative abilities including excellent computer skills and knowledge of various software, internet based HR systems and email.

Nice To Haves

PHR, SPHR or GPHR certification preferred.
Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards preferred.
