About The Position

The Director of Human Resources is a senior leadership role responsible for setting and executing the overall HR strategy for the organization. This individual will oversee all HR functions, lead and develop the HR team, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this role requires a highly experienced HR professional who can operate independently, provide strategic direction, and drive a proactive, solutions-oriented HR function that supports business growth and operational excellence. This leader must be comfortable managing with minimal direction, anticipating needs before they arise, and building systems, processes, and accountability within the HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with company goals and growth plans.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CAO and executive leadership team on talent, organizational design, workforce planning, and culture.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable people initiatives.
  • Identify organizational risks and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Directly lead, coach, and develop the HR team.
  • Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability within the department.
  • Ensure the HR function operates as a proactive business partner, not a transactional service center.
  • Build scalable HR systems and processes to support a growing organization.
  • Oversee recruiting strategy and workforce planning.
  • Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Drive performance management processes and ensure alignment with company accountability standards.
  • Strengthen employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Oversee compensation philosophy, salary structures, and incentive programs.
  • Ensure competitive, compliant, and performance-aligned compensation practices.
  • Manage benefits strategy and vendor relationships.
  • Provide senior-level guidance on complex employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Oversee investigations, policy development, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate metrics and data-driven decision making.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
