About The Position

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Human Resources Director to join their leadership team. This position provides professional-level planning, reporting, and analysis to support organizational goals. It involves resolving conflicts to protect the organization's assets, providing expertise and recommendations to support management decisions, and ensuring HR activities comply with State and Federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts. The role oversees all HR functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training/orientation, employee relations, workers' compensation, and maintaining personnel records in files and the HRIS system. The Human Resources Director is responsible for executing HR activities at the facility for all functional areas and serves as a professional resource for facility management on all HR-related activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
3 years management experience required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Understanding of Federal and State employment laws and regulations related to HR.
Working knowledge of administering wage/salary programs, benefits, workers compensation, recruiting/retention plans, training/staff development, and employee relations.
Requires leadership, organizational, supervisory and administrative abilities.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of various software, internet based HR systems and email.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree preferred.
5 years of healthcare experience preferred.
PHR, SPHR or GPHR certification preferred.
Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) standards preferred.
