About The Position

The Director of Human Resources will oversee the management of the Human Resources department. The Director of Human Resources will manage processes, training, leadership development, employee relations, and organizational human capital solutions to ensure business success. This role will directly report to the Chief Executive Officer and is an advisor and partner to business leaders and their leadership teams. The role requires a strategic and operationally savvy leader who can collaborate with diverse business leaders and work on complex business solutions. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for building a culture that attracts and enables top talent to make a significant impact on the organization. The Director of Human Resources will work with the CEO to solve human capital issues ensuring continued organizational growth. The Director of Human Resources will partner with shared services, and oversee operational effectiveness of talent acquisition, core HR, payroll, reporting, HCM(WorkDay), and legal/compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resource
  • 5+ years of leadership management
  • Proficiency exercised with organizations with 750-1500 employees experience required
  • Demonstrated effective analytical, problem solving, judgment, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, with competing deadlines in an effective manner
  • Proven knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resource administration, including but not limited to policy and procedure, benefit, regulatory compliance, and HR systems.
  • Demonstrated effective influencing competencies and thought leadership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information (including Protected Health Information).
  • Demonstrated successful experience with multi-state HR responsibility preferred
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with various levels within an organization

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with private equity, or venture capital is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organizational talent acquisition, core HR operations, training, performance management, talent management, and total rewards programs.
  • Be a trusted advisor to organizational executives, management, and staff.
  • Translate business needs and system requires into a project plan that integrates HR process, defines measurable reporting to help grow the business and deliver results.
  • Be a trusted advisor/business partner to the CEO bringing high performance and continuous development to people operations.
  • Continuous review of people operations processes, communication, employee engagement, and relations review for opportunities to deliver effective, efficient, and high quality for organizational leadership and staff.
  • Recommend changes to keep the organization compliant and to improve internal privacy.
  • Lead the people operations staff by setting up a department culture of high performers driving innovation.
  • Ensure talent acquisition, core HR, and other people operations are supported and meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Partners with organizational development, including but not limited to employee training and annual merit review process.
  • Leads partnership with shared services and outside consultants, vendors, and agencies in areas of HCM(WorkDay), Core, Payroll, Reporting, Compliance and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Partner with Human Resources Systems Director HCM, including updates, reporting and access; ensures accuracy and thoroughness of data and coordinate reporting needs.
  • Periodically prepares and presents reports on specific topics related to senior leadership.
  • Oversees employee surveys and report results to senior leadership.
  • Responsible for generating reports or data needs to the organization as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
