About The Position

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading the overall HR strategy and operations for Greenleaf Hospitality Group, ensuring alignment with business goals while fostering a high-performing, guest-focused culture. This role oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, HR systems, and total rewards, with a strong focus on supporting both frontline and leadership teams and delivering a consistent, high-quality employee experience. This role will be responsible for helping the organization navigate change, scale effectively, and build a culture that supports long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5-8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or service-based industries
  • Proven experience partnering with executive leadership to drive organizational strategy and business performance
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting both hourly/frontline and salaried leadership teams
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategy with operational goals
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Drive change management initiatives by helping leaders and teams successfully navigate transitions, organizational growth, and evolving business priorities
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals and growth
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and department heads
  • Build and maintain a strong, values-driven culture aligned with hospitality excellence
  • Create and implement engagement initiatives that improve retention, morale, and overall employee satisfaction
  • Oversee talent acquisition strategy for both frontline and leadership positions to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Partner with leadership to proactively identify workforce trends, organizational gaps, and future talent needs
  • Build partnerships within the community and industry to support talent pipelines and workforce development
  • Strengthen the employer brand within the community and industry
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent practices
  • Drive engagement initiatives that support retention and team satisfaction
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and accountable work environment
  • Lead conflict resolution and performance management processes
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Lead conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management processes with professionalism and discretion
  • Support leaders in driving accountability and maintaining a positive, productive work environment
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the team members managing the HRIS (Workday), ensuring data accuracy and effective reporting capabilities
  • Develop and improve HR processes for efficiency and scalability
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and track key metrics (turnover, time-to-fill, engagement, etc.)
  • Partner with leadership to ensure compensation strategy remains competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee benefits programs, vendor relationships, and total rewards programs
  • Evaluate compensation structures and workforce trends to support talent retention and market competitiveness
