The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in search of an experienced leader as our next Director of Human Resources. This key role oversees employee relations, associate engagement, compliance, and training, while fostering a strong, inclusive culture aligned with brand values. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in related field – Four Year Degree preferred
  • Computer and typing experience
  • Prior experience in Human Resources, Hospitality or Customer Service fields (3-5 years)
  • Accuracy with numbers, budgeting experience administration
  • Ability to work independently with high level of confidence
  • High degree of organization and motivation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of employment related issues

Nice To Haves

  • Four Year Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide Human Resources leadership for a full-service hotel environment
  • Partner with the General Manager and executive leadership team as a trusted advisor on people strategy and organizational effectiveness
  • Lead employee relations, associate engagement, recognition programs, and workplace culture initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, brand standards, and company policies within a hotel setting
  • Oversee performance management, discipline, and review processes to ensure consistency and fairness
  • Guide and support the Human Resources team in execution of staffing, training, and associate programs
  • Champion a positive, service-driven culture aligned with hospitality and brand values
  • Oversee management development, leadership training, and onboarding frameworks for hotel leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for EEOC matters, risk management, and corporate HR reporting
  • Maintain alignment with Corporate Human Resources on policies, reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Represent the hotel in community workforce, hospitality, and employment partnership initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
