As the Human Resources Director, you are a strategic leader who helps shape the employee experience and build the workforce that makes our mission possible. By aligning human resources strategies with organizational priorities, you create an environment where employees are supported, leaders are equipped, and teams can deliver exceptional behavioral health services to individuals and families across our region. In this role, you lead and oversee all aspects of Human Resources operations, translating strategic objectives into programs and initiatives that strengthen recruitment, retention, employee development, compensation, benefits, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. You provide thoughtful leadership and expert guidance while ensuring HR practices are consistent, compliant, and responsible to the evolving needs of the organization. As a trusted advisor to executive leadership and managers throughout the agency, you influence decisions that impact our culture, workforce, and long-term success. Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or have an equivalent combination of education and experience (9 years).
  • Have 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including leadership in HR or management roles.
  • Can successfully complete pre-employment screening, including background check, fingerprinting, and drug and TB testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Human Resources professional (SHRM or HRCI certification), preferred.
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, and/or preventive labor relations is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills desired.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Human Resources team by providing coaching, mentorship, performance management, and professional development while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and exceptional customer service.
  • Provide proactive leadership for Human Resources operations by directing HR programs, policies, and procedures that promote consistency, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with North Range Behavioral Health’s mission, values, and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to build trusted relationships provide strategic HR consultation, and develop workforce solutions that strengthen employee engagement, organization effectiveness and the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services.
  • Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture by overseeing employee relations efforts, guiding workplace investigations, facilitating conflict resolution, supporting performance management, and ensuring fair, respectful, and legally compliant employment practices.
  • Promote equitable and competitive compensation practices by overseeing compensation analysis, salary administration, market benchmarking, and pay recommendations that support recruitment, retention, internal equity, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
  • Execute workforce planning and talent strategies by participating in organizational design, position management, job description development, recruitment, talent acquisition, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives that ensure the organization has the talent needed to meet current and future community needs.
  • Drive organization improvement through strategic HR initiatives by leading cross-functional projects, implementing innovative people practice, managing change effectively, and developing tools, resources, and communications that enhance employee experience and organizational performance.
  • Leverage data to inform strategic decisions by analyzing workforce metrics, trends, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities, improve operational effectiveness, strengthen compliance, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing guidance on complex Human Resources matters, organizational priorities, workforce strategy, risk management, and employment-related issues, and by acting on behalf of the Chief Human Resources Officer as delegated to ensure continuity of leadership and service.
  • Demonstrate leadership agility and organizational commitment by supporting agency-wide initiatives, responding to emerging organizational needs, and performing additional responsibilities that advance North Range Behavioral Health’s mission, strategic goals, and commitment to exceptional care.
