About The Position

The Human Resource Director is responsible for leading the organization’s HR strategy and operations to support business goals and foster a positive workplace culture. This role provides strategic direction in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Director serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while maintaining compliance with employment laws and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role. Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, talent management, and organizational development. Proven track record of managing employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices. Proficiency with HRIS systems, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
  • Other Skills: Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Hospitality and/or Staffing Experience a plus
  • Certifications: SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.
  • Lead and manage the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, training, compensation, and compliance.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition efforts to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Design and administer performance management systems to support employee growth and accountability.
  • Direct the development and delivery of training programs that enhance employee skills and support career advancement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Promote employee engagement, recognition programs, and initiatives that support a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics, reports, and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the organization.
  • Manage HR budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, managers, and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Provide on-call support as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership to shape company culture and workforce planning.
  • Provide guidance on organizational structure, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and retention strategies.
  • Design and implement performance management systems.
  • Develop employee training and professional development programs.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Oversee conflict resolution, employee concerns, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and workplace standards.

  • Monitor market trends to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Oversee annual salary planning and incentive programs.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage workplace investigations and mitigate risk.
  • Lead HR team and oversee daily departmental operations.
  • Manage HR systems, metrics, and reporting.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and employee records.
  • Develop and manage HR department budget.
  • Optimize resource allocation to support HR initiatives.
