Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
Five years of municipal HR management experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

Human Resources certification
Experience with payroll laws and regulations
Valid Texas Driver's License or ability to obtain one

Responsibilities

Partner with hiring managers to recruit and onboard exceptional talent
Guide leaders through complex employee relations matters
Collaborate with the City Attorney on compliance and workplace concerns
Oversee compensation programs and annual pay plans
Manage benefits and retirement offerings
Supervise HR staff
Develop departmental budgets and priorities
Ensure policies remain aligned with ever-changing regulations
Direct risk management programs involving workers' compensation, safety, liability, and loss prevention
Prepare reports, presentations, budget forecasts, and recommendations for leadership and City Council
